It's November and Shea is now 1 year old! She had her first birthday October 29th and we went to Streamers (of course) to have an ice cream sundae. That Saturday we celebrated her birthday with a beatiful cake, ballons, and lots of family and friends! Everyone had a great time. Shea got to play on her new swingset that Aunt Kathy got for her, and then we had a pinata! All the kids got a swing at it, starting with the smallest right up to the biggest kid.
Shea is a pro at walking now and practically runs everywhere she wants to go. She is very quick at everything, especially getting into things that she's not supposed to. The other night I made fajitas for dinner. She came right up to the table and stuck her hand in the sour cream before I could stop her. It turns out that she really likes sour cream! She licked her fingers and said "mmmmmmm!". Shea says a few words now like "mama", "dada", "dog", "shoes", "up", and of course "uh-oh". She has a pretty big vocabulary! We can understand most of what she's trying to say like "that" or "what's this?". She's a pretty smart kid if I may say so! She loves to figure things out and put things togther. Maybe she'll be an engineer like her Aunt Kathy! lol
Dave and I are really enjoying being her parents, even when she throws her fits because she doesn't want to get dressed, or get her dipaer changed. She is such a joy and we are so glad to have her!

Shea's Walking!!!
Ok so it's been awhile since my last blog and a bunch has happened! Shea is now walking on her own! She just figured it out one day about 2 weeks ago, and she's been on the move ever since. She loves to show off especially when we're out in public. Eating out has become a thing of the past as she will not sit in her carseat or a highchair anymore lol. She's got too much to do! Shea also is very interested in testing her boundaries. She is learning quite quickly what she can and cannot touch. She loves pushing our buttons! She will touch something, we will tell her "no" and she just smiles and shakes her head "no" right back at us. It's pretty hard to keep a straight face. Well she's waking up from her nap, so I'll write more later!

Well it's the beginning of July and Shea is just about ready to walk! She's mastered the crawling thing and is ready to move on to bigger and better things. She loves to eat and gets very excited when her "yummmm" (high) chair comes out! We're not sure how much she weighs, her 9 month appointment is coming up in a few weeks so we'll know then.
Dave is getting ready to start his new shift with Gilbert starting next week. He'll work Friday through Monday, 4pm to 2am. Yikes, I hope he can handle staying up that late...I guess there's always coffee! As for myself, I'm just chugging along waiting for the fall weather. Hope you enjoy the new pix!!

Hi everyone! It's the beginning of June and we can't keep Shea down! She's in to everything and loves to pull the dog's hair out (poor Max)! She's loving her veggies and fruits and eats really well (in case you can't tell by her rolls). Dave and I are keeping busy with work but are looking forward to when little Shea decides to sleep through the night lol. Hope you all enjoy the new pics!

Our First Blog
Dave and I are pretty much natives of Arizona. We met each other in marching band in high school (Dave hates it when I advertise that)! We were married in 1999 and have been living here in Chandler for about 3 years now. Our daughter Shea came along last October and we couldn't be happier. We waited for her for so many years...she is just a blessing! She is almost 7 months old...where has the time gone? She is officially a crawler now and we can't keep her contained; she manages to get in to everything in record time...I guess it's time for the baby gates! I hope to be able to keep this blog going so that you all can be updated and informed as Shea grows up!
